SSH Webinar: What to Learn from the Deloitte Hack [UPDATE]
UPDATE: The webinar is scheduled to go live on 22nd November 2017, Wednesday. Stay tuned to Quantiq's website and social media platforms for further details.
The Guardian recently unveiled that corporate finance giant Deloitte suffered a cyber-attack that compromised confidential data, including the private emails of some of its blue chips clients. The hacker compromised the firm’s global email server through an "administrator’s account" that, in theory, gave them "privileged, unrestricted" access to all areas in the Microsoft Azure cloud service. It is believed that the attacker connected through the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) with administrator rights to their Microsoft servers.
To address this, Quantiq International is colloborating with SSH Communications Security to host a webinar session in the early weeks of November, on how to mitigate the risks of your privileged access with the use of an appropriate access control and monitoring solution to protect 'administrator', 'privileged' access to internal assets in your encrypted environment such as RDP, SSH and HTTPS.
Stay tuned to Quantiq's website and social media platforms for more information on the webinar!
